There’s something so pure about a blank page. Maybe it’s the quiet invitation it offers, the promise of becoming. Maybe it’s that stark-white, untainted rectangle waiting to be enveloped in your thoughts, ideas, and words.
That’s how I’m thinking of this space: as a fresh page, a listening ear waiting to be filled with stories, reflections, bookish ramblings, the frustrations and the break thoughts— the kind of honest to goodness writing that doesn’t always come easily, but ALWAYS matters.
I’m a graduate student in a writing program at the beach, working toward the only dream that fits me: to write books that find the readers who need them most. I’ve always been in love with the beauty of words—reading them, writing them, getting lost in them—and this blog is where I want to share that love with you, and hopefully inspire you along the way.
Here, you’ll find all of those torn pieces of my writing journey: what I’m working on, what I’m struggling with, what I’m learning. You’ll also find thoughts and reviews on the books I’m reading/have read—what they taught me, how they made me feel, what they stirred up, what I’ll take with me into my own books. I’ll be as honest as I can, even when the process feels messy or uncertain. Actually… especially then.
If you’re a fellow writer or aspiring author, I hope you’ll see yourself in some of these posts and offer your own encouragement and pieces of advice.
If you’re a reader, I hope you’ll find new books to love. I hope you’ll get curious about the stories I’m trying to write. More than anything, I hope you’ll feel welcome here.
This isn’t just my space. It’s ours. A quiet little literary corner of the internet where we can talk about stories, celebrate words, and remind each other why we fell in love with them in the first place. I want this space to be a reminder for all of us that literature is the connecting thread of humanity, that no matter what differences we have, we can all find common ground in the comfort of a rainy day and a warm book.
Thanks for being here.
I can’t wait to see where this goes.

With warmth and ink-filled notebooks,
Danni Writes.
